Polo Shirt Fabrics Information

One of the primary decisions when choosing a polo shirt style is whether you want 100% cotton or a cotton/polyester blend fabric. Cotton is cooler, a blend will be more wrinkle, fade and shrink resistant. Consider that although some people prefer a blend fabric, many of the better quality 100% cotton polo’s are preshrunk and wrinkle resistant. Also check out the look and feel of the fabric's texture. Polo style fabrics range from jersey knit, a T-shirt-like fabric, to textured fabrics such as pique and honeycomb pique.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Next decide what style T-shirt you need. If you want basic T's you must decide if you want cotton or a cotton/ polyester blend. Cotton T's will be cooler but a blend will be more wrinkle, shrink and fade resistant. If you decide to use a cotton T, you might want to choose a Hanes Beefy T. Although these T's are more expensive, the Beefy T's are made form ringspun cotton, a cotton that is softer to the touch and will last longer because it is made from longer fibers.
